Deadline for August issue is: July 19, 2011
This summer Raging Chicken Press will publish three “issues” — July, August, and September — devoted to ongoing budget battles around the country. July was our first issue and it went live on July 1, 2011. We are seeking articles devoted to specific struggles in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, New York, Michigan, Florida and other states around the country. We also invite articles that provide historical and/or political context for these struggles.
In addition to the featured articles for each “issue,” we also have a section called “Field Notes.” Field Notes are shorter, first-person reports from events, rallies, protest, and actions around the region. We welcome short, 2-3 paragraph reports from participants in budget-related actions. Field Notes will be published in real-time on the main Raging Chicken Press web page.
We also invite political cartoons, comics, photos, videos, and rants concerning the ongoing attacks on working people and the middle class.
Send all submissions to: ragingchickenpress@gmail.com
