McDonald’s Must Pay! National Guestworker Alliance releases video

Today, the National Guestworker Alliance released this video, “McDonald’s Must Pay!” The video further exposes stories of abuse and exploitation of international student in the U.S. on a J-1 visa. They came here for cultural exchange. What they got was a crash course in low-wage work and abusive labor conditions.

Stand Up, Live Better!

Tomorrow, BLACK FRIDAY, Walmart workers from around the country are going on strike for respect, a living wage, and a new model for the American economy – one in which we look out for one another. Enough with the race to the bottom! Stand up, live better!

Raging Chicken Press will be at a few of the events around the area. We want to encourage readers in the area to show up and support the event being organized by folks at the Rick Smith Show and others. Come to the Walmart Supercenter at 1091 Millcreek Rd, Allentown, PA between 10am and 2pm. Go to the Facebook event page and let them know you support them and will join workers in standing up for a better tomorrow. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you can RSVP here as well.

If you can’t make it to the Allentown site, check out the Making Change at Walmart page for more information and find another event closer to you on the Corporate Action Network’s Black Friday campaign page. This will be a NATIONAL day of action.
